In 2023, 4CATS ART EDUCATION celebrates 20 years of art education publishing. We aim to provide the most comprehensive resources for VCE Art students embarking on the study designs VCE ART MAKING + EXHIBITING and / or VCE CREATIVE PRACTICE. 4CATS ART EDUCATION is driven to improve student learning and assist teachers with high quality contemporary resources. In 2016, we released our first online videos and in 2020, released our first series of online E-Books.

Throughout 2023 and beyond we will continue to produce new resource material for VCE ART Making and Exhibiting and VCE ART Creative Practice. Our textbooks are highly regarded and confidently lead students through a unique step by step approach in undertaking the essential Key Knowledge and Key Skills for the VCE ART Study Designs. 4CATS Education is moving forward and always expanding their perspective on new ways to view the VCE ART Study Designs. We are proud of our 20 years contribution to senior art learning and will continue to push the boundaries in art education.

VCE ART MAKING + EXHIBITING and VCE CREATIVE PRACTICE are centred on galleries and museums as a key resource for students. Students and teachers engage in exhibitions that display both historical and contemporary art making. Learning about the art industry, exhibition spaces and the role of industry professionals such as curators and exhibition designers is an essential element of VCE ART MAKING + EXHIBITING.

The VCE ART Study Designs also highlight the need for students to view a range of art forms, art styles and a diversity of materials and techniques used by artists in their art making. Students should always view original artworks as this will enhance their ability to write authentically about the artworks they study.

Viewing original artworks at galleries and museums is also fundamental for students in the development of their own art making, ideas and concepts.
